Code of Ethics and Standards

Currently there are no firm regulations enforced by governing bodies regarding electronic waste.  iRecycle Computers has taken the initiative to develop and adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards.

Resources are kept in Canada and the United States.  The
electronic waste is never exported to other countries.  The
materials recovered like copper, nickel, aluminum, gold, are
reused by North American production companies.

Respect for human rights.  Workers are treated fairly according to
federal, provincial, and municipal laws.  Workers are protected
under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and are
     compensated for their efforts.

Zero landfill policy regarding electronic waste.  Cleaning up the community
by recycling instead of disposing to landfill.

Information security.  All information storing devices are wiped
clean using software.  Hard drives are smashed and shredded

Dedicated to public awareness and education.  Motivating
individuals to action by creating innovative ways for individuals
     to participate.
